If you need to change your computer/network password and are not at your ACS computer, you can reset it through the PingOne Portal using any internet connected device, follow the instructions below.

PingOne Portal is where you can reset your password, unlock your password, as well as manage your Ping MFA Devices. Find more about PingID and PingOne on the MFA page on HelpMe.cancer.org.

How to Change Your Password
1. If you are in an ACS office and connected to Wi-Fi , you may skip to step 2. If you are not in an office, connect to Wi-Fi and connect to VPN (Cisco AnyConnect). If not connected to the VPN, the process will not be possible.

2. Quit/exit any open applications including Outlook and Teams. If you are logged on to any secondary PCs, please log out during this time. 

3. To change your password:
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL on your keyboard and choose “Change a Password.” If the system does not automatically select your account, please select the icon directly above your username to begin the password change process. The new password must, at a minimum, contain 14 characters (no special characters are required). Note: Use a phrase to remember it.

4. Reopen Outlook and Teams. If you are prompted for a password, please enter your new password and check the box that states “Remember My Credentials.”

5. If you have your email configured on an iOS or Android device, you will want to update your saved password as soon as possible to prevent any account lockouts.
Changing Your Password Tips
When changing your windows/network password you must also change it on your mobile device in Mobile Iron. Change your password on all devices where you have a cached(saved) password. This is a reminder to check your mobile devices (Email and Teams) as the password maybe also need to be changed on the mobile device.
 
Before changing your Windows/network password, close down all Microsoft applications: Outlook, Teams, etc. If you are not in an ACS office, connect to VPN.
 
If you change your password and then find that you are unable to access a particular service, wait a few minutes and try again. Your password change is synchronized to several systems, and it may take some time for your password change to be processed.

Must be a minimum of 14 characters
Recently used passwords cannot be reused
Must not contain user’s account name or parts of the user’s full name
Use of special characters is allowed but not required
Does not expire
